The Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble will produce Opera Night at the 2024 San Gennaro Festival in Manhattan's Little Italy on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on the festival's outdoor stage located at Mott and Grand Streets on the Lower East Side.

Opera Ithaca presents Puccini's Tosca February 16at 7:00pm in Hamblin Hall at Ithaca's Community School of Music and Arts. Opera Ithaca's cast of Tosca features Megan Nielson in the title role, Italian-born tenor and film and tv actor, Paolo Buffagni, as Cavaradossi, Zachary James as Scarpia, Jake Stamatis as Angelotti, Benno Ressa as The Sacristan, Andrew Hudson-Sabens as Spoletta, Nathan Murphy as Sciarrone and Rachel Silverstein as Shepard Boy.

Regina Opera to Present CARMEN; Performances Begin 5/16
Regina Opera Company will present Bizet's 'Carmen' on Saturdays May 16 and 23; and Sundays May 17 and 24 at 3:00PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help auditorium, 5902 6th Avenue, Brooklyn. The fully-staged performances of this tragedy in which a sultry gypsy drives a young soldier to extremes of passion, is sung in French with English super-titles.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Dicapo Opera Theatre, which is presenting The Most Happy Fella. This May-September romance features a book, music, and lyrics by Tony-Award winner Frank Loesser, best known for Guys and Dolls and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The Most Happy Fela is directed by Michael Capasso and the conductor is Pacien Mazzagatti. Choreography is by Francine Harmon, set design by John Farrell, costume design by Julie Wyma and lighting design by Susan Roth.

On December 17, 2008 the Dicapo Opera Theatre presented a holiday concert called 'Yuletide Classics', a two hour show which included holiday songs, carols and opera classics. The cast featured the Dicapo Opera Children's Chorus and The Dicapo Opera Theatre's Resident Artists. The sold out show was performed in The Dicapo Opera Theatre's 220 seat theater in New York City under the direction of Diane Martindale, and General Director Michael Capasso.
