The National Theatre has announced three new productions for 2023 and the revival of the critically acclaimed The Father and the Assassin. A new production devised by The PappyShow will tour directly to 55 schools across England, and National Theatre Live brings The Crucible, Othello and GOOD to cinema goers around the world.
Cast Announced For the UK and Ireland Tour of THE OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE
Casting is announced for the National Theatre's critically-acclaimed production of The Ocean at the End of the Lane, based on the best-selling novel by Neil Gaiman. Adapted by Joel Horwood and directed by Katy Rudd, this thrilling adventure of fantasy, myth and friendship will visit 29 towns and cities, across the UK and Ireland and will come to Milton Keynes Theatre on 27 June 2023.

Italian theatre director Romeo Castellucci is one of the world's leading contemporary theatre artists. Born in Cesena in 1960, Castellucci graduated in scenic design and painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. Together with Claudia Castellucci, Chiara Guidi, and Paolo Guidi, he founded the theatre company Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio in 1981. He is internationally recognized—his works having been staged in over fifty countries—for his theatre based on a synthesis of the arts. In 2013 Castellucci received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement from La Biennale Teatro di Venezia. In 2014 he was assigned an Honorary Degree for the disciplines of Music and Theatre from the University of Bologna, and the European magazine Opernwelt named him Best Opera Director of the year.
