The hits of The Go-Gos fuel a non-stop joyride in this lively new musical Entertainment Weekly calls “a giddy neon anthem of acceptance.” Set in the kingdom of Arcadia, Head Over Heels offers a fresh update on Sir Phillip Sidney’s classic romance, The Arcadia, challenging the boundaries of gender, class and social institutions and exuberantly celebrating love and gender in all of its forms. The royal family and court take an outrageous journey to save their kingdom, only to discover “the beat” lies within each of them. Recommended for ages 13 and up.

Idyllwild Arts Academy has announced its Spring 2020 off-site student performance, catering to Idyllwild Arts family of supporters and their friends in the Desert Cities. The Idyllwild Arts Academy Student Showcase on March 4 promises a spectacular hour-long, fashion-inspired event, which will take place at Rancho Mirage Library (71-100 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270).
Idyllwild Arts Welcomes World-Renowned Conductor Ransom Wilson As First-Ever Year-Round Conductor
Idyllwild Arts Foundation welcomes new year-round Director of Orchestral Programs Ransom Wilson andAssociate Director of Orchestral Programs, Gregory Robbins. Signaling the beginning of an exciting new era, in which the Summer Program and Academy will become more closely integrated, Wilson and Robbins have been brought on board this fall to build on the prestige and prominence of the existing program. Wilson is a world-renowned flutist, recording artist, chamber musician and conductor who joins Idyllwild Arts from Yale University School of Music where he is professor of flute. Robbins is a performer and educator who most recently served as the director of educational outreach at the Geneva Music Festival and executive director of the Young Artists Philharmonic.

Summer Orchestra Director Larry Livingston Departs Idyllwild Arts
On Sunday August 4, 2019, Idyllwild Arts Foundation (www.idyllwildarts.org) will present the culmination performance of the High School Summer Chamber Festival Orchestra and Festival Choir of Idyllwild Arts. The program will feature more than 100 talented young people performing on the world-class stage of Walt Disney Concert Hall, home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Chicago Academy For The Arts Dedicates Today's EAT TO THE BEAT Performance to Maya Angelou
The Chicago Academy for the Arts announced this morning that their 12pm Eat to the Beat performance at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance will be dedicated to the memory of author and poet Maya Angelou. The Academy Repertory Dance Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Randy Duncan, is scheduled to perform six pieces in the 45 minute lunchtime program.
