Fountain Hills Theater to Present GOD OF CARNAGE, 1/10-26
by Tyler Peterson - Dec 15, 2013
Fountain Hills Theater has announced the opening of the comedy, God of Carnage. 'Sticks and stones can break my bones'... but when Benjamin hits Henry at a nearby park, it starts two sets of parents on a comically explosive downhill slide from political correctness to character assassination. From the playwright who brought you 'Art,' comes God of Carnage, the darkly hilarious 2009 Tony Award Winner for Best Play. Two high-strung couples, Alan and Annette Raleigh and Michael and Veronica Novak, decide to meet one evening for a civilized discussion about a playground altercation between their two young sons. The New Yorker called this laugh-out-loud hilarity 'ninety minutes of sustained mayhem.' A no holds barred look at relationships between spouses and friends and what happens when the littlest things end up pushing us completely over the edge.
