Naples Equity theatre group TheatreZone opens its ninth season "Year of the Composers" performing Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock musical Whistle Down the Wind with lyrics by Jim Steinman, book by Patricia Knop, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gayle Edwards, directed by Mark Danni, music direction by Charles Fornara and choreography by Karen Molnar. Whistle Down the Wind plays January 6-16, 2014 at the G&L Theatre, 13275 Livingston Road in Naples.

No, No, Nanette was first presented in London and played for 665 performances at the Palace Theatre. It then ran for 321 performances on Broadway at the Globe Theatre. The New York revival played for 861 performances at the Forty-Sixth Street Theatre in 1971. The cast for the revival included Ruby Keeler, Jack Gilford, Bobby Van, Helen Gallagher, Susan Watson and Patsy Kelly.

Introducing your season nine 'American Idol:' Lee Dewyze. In a battle between two tremendously talented contestants, DeWyze was able win America's votes and be crowned champion. After a tough set of performances last night, DeWyze was able to pull out the victory and what many considered an upset over runner up Crystal Bowersox. DeWyze was consistent throughout the season, giving great performance week after week and really honing his skills. DeWyze grew an incredible amount throughout the season and was able to turn himself into an 'American Idol.'
