In a time of uncertainty for the country and for the arts, Portland Playhouse put out a call to local artists to open our hearts and broaden our perspectives. The result is Wonderland, a virtual festival of four short new works that directly engage with our current socio-political landscape from the perspective of WONDER.
Latinx Theatre Commons Expands Definition Of American Play At Carnaval 2018: ConeXion!

The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) proudly presents the 2018 LTC Carnaval of New Latinx Work (Carnaval 2018: ConeXion!) featuring readings of six new Latinx plays paired with Latinx directors, actors, designers and dramaturgs at The Theatre School at DePaul University, 2350 N. Racine, Chicago, 19-21 July 2018. Carnaval 2018: ConeXion! is dynamic event celebrating the abundance of Latinx talent in the U.S. theatre field. Additionally, Carnaval participants are able to experience Chicago's rich Latinx theatre community through events created by local Latinx theatre companies Urban Theater Company, Aguijon Theater, Teatro Vista, and the Chicago Latino Theater Alliance.

Milagro, the Northwest's premier Latino arts and culture organization announces Season 35: Fantasy, Fairy Tales, and Folklore, featuring Milagro's annual Dia de Muertos celebration, three additional world premieres-including a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere, a national touring production, and the U.S. premiere of a Spanish-language play from Costa Rica! It is a season of stories of fantastical creatures, great heroes and heroines, mystical monsters, magical beings, and spirits from another world.
