The New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy and Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas have announced I Dream a World: The Harlem Renaissance and Beyond, a multi-disciplinary, multi-tiered festival that celebrates the history and influence of this cultural movement.
SFEMS Presents Cut Circle In Choral Music By Du Fay, Ockeghem & Josquin
In association with Stanford Live, the San Francisco Early Music Society will present Cut Circle in three concerts of choral music by Josquin des Prez, Johannes Ockeghem and Guillaume Du Fay, February 8 10. Under the direction of Jesse Rodin, the ensemble will explore the theme of love as it was expressed in a range of 15th-century settings, blurring the line between the sacred and the secular.

San Francisco Early Music Society Announces 2018-19 Season
One of the nation's leading organizations for the advancement of early music, the San Francisco Early Music Society (SFEMS) has announced its 2018-19 season featuring some of the most exciting early music practitioners here and abroad in nine wide-ranging programs. The season runs from October 12 through May 19, with concerts presented in Palo Alto, Berkeley and San Francisco.

Created and directed by Jeannette Sorrell and starring singers Amanda Powell and Ross Hauck, the program will be performed in 8 concerts in rustic venues in Hunting Valley, Chardon, Bay Village and Bath, today, June 12-22.

GEMS Presents THE PLAY OF DANIEL at the Cloisters, Now thru 1/20
Over two weekends in January, twelve intrepid groups of musical travelers will be transported eight centuries back in time to experience The Play of Daniel in the unique environs of The Cloisters Museum and Gardens, the branch of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. Concerts at The Cloisters will present The Play of Daniel in the Fuentidueña Chapel at The Cloisters - 99 Margaret Corbin Drive, Fort Tryon Park, in Manhattan - Fridays through Sundays, today, January 11th-13th and 18th-20th, 2013, with two performances each day, at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $75.
