MERTON OF THE MOVIES: THE MUSICAL Will Have Private Industry Readings Next Week

Merton of the Movies: The Musical, with music by Gary William Friedman (The Me Nobody Knows, Taking My Turn), lyrics by Stevie Holland (Love, Linda: The Life of Mrs. Cole Porter) and Robert Lorick (The Tap Dance Kid), and book by Holland, Lorick and Mel Shapiro (Two Gentlemen of Verona) will have a private industry reading in New York on December 4th.

The score from the Outer Critics Circle Award-winning musical will be celebrated in what's sure to be an extraordinary and memorable evening. One of the New York nightclub and cabaret scene's most talented couple--Vocalist/Actress Nina Hennessey and Drummer Ray Marchica--have been booked by Birdland, New York's premier jazz club, for a special show on August 2 at 6 pm (doors open at 5 pm).
