BIO

I am a performer, actor, writer and lyricist.

Since the late 1990’s I have performed my own lyrics and monologues at various venues in London, including the King's Head Theatre, the Canal Café Theatre, Pizza on the Park, Madame Jojos and, most recently, the Pheasantry and the Crazy Coqs. In 2010 the director Irene Maffei made a short documentary about the show, called 'Life, undeath, the whole damn thing!'

I began acting in film in 2005 . I have appeared in several shorts based on my cabaret characters. In 'Just One More Night' I played an actress and incidental characters. The only words were the lyrics to my song. In `Just One More Bite', 2007, I played a vampire. 'The Revelation of Reverend Jones' was made in 2008. All three shorts have received many festival awards and nominations. I continues to act in short films for others and have played roles in two feature films, receiving a best supporting actor nomination in 2010 for my part in 'The Drummond Will'.

In 2013 I appeared on stage in a new play for the Camden Fringe Festival. In 2014 I played the part of Castruccio, a drag queen, in an all male version of 'The Duchess of Malfi' set in the nineteen fifties and called 'Cover her face'.

I am the author of a children's story 'Magic in Ravenswood' (Heinemann). I turned it into a family musical, writing the book and lyrics (music BB Cooper). Now called 'Goblins Don't Scare Us', it was the Christmas show at the New End Theatre, Hampstead, in 2002/3. It was played in Delaware, USA, in November 2008. I have also written ‘worldoflegends.com’ a fantasy available on Amazon and other sites.

I have also written the book and lyrics for other musicals and various screenplays, some nominated for awards, for example my script for 'The Revelation of Reverend Jones' was nominated for an award at the Supershorts International Film Festival 2008.
