Nicolette is a member of the Chickasaw Nation, a Dramatist Guild Foundations National Musical Theatre Fellow, producer, performer, authior, playwright, composer, and lyricist. She is the cowriter, composer, and lyricist for the new musical in development, "Savage - The Unconquerable Wanda Savage", a 2024 O'Neill Semifinalist. Savage is inspired by the true story of her great grandma, 1920's Native American Chickasaw mother, Vaudeville and silent film starlet, Wanda Savage who faced racism, misogyny, and abuse while trying to make a name of herself. "Savage" will be in the 2024 Creative Nation’s First Storytellers Festival, received Honorable Mention for the 2022 American Playwriting Foundation’s Relentless Award, was a finalist for 2024 Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, was a finalist for 2024 Playwrights Realm Native American Artist Lab, was chosen to be in the 2023 and
2024 SheNYC Arts Festival, and was first runner up in Broadway Shark Tank. "Savage" has over 10K social media followers and premiered, in concert, at the 2019 NYMF.
As a producer, Nicolette self produced and recorded an EP and singles for Savage that has received over 47K streams to date with all proceeds going to Oklahoma Alliance Against violence. OKNAAV works with over 25K tribes working with MMIW victims and their families and other domestic violence issues. Other producing credits include co producing "A Commercial for Regina Comet" under her boutique production company, Take My Shot Productions. She is a co producer for Joey Contreras' "In Pieces". She is an investor for the Museum of Broadway and "Millenials are Killing Musicals". She is also the owner of Underground Demos and started nativetheatreartists.com that helps give more recognition to Native creatives on Broadway and Off.
Nicolette has been featured in Native Max Magazine, DC Metro Arts, the Chickasaw Times and other publications. Some of her live interviews include: 89.5 KVMR Resilience Radio, Red Curtain Addict, Live with Rye, Be Our Guest, Breaking the Curtain, Women and Theatre, The Stage Door Show, and Musicals with Impact among others. Her music has been heard at 54 Below (Women of the Wings), Joe's Pub (Ring of Keys Gala : Queering the Canon of Alan Menken), Laurie Beechman Theatre and Broadway Sessions where she also performed.
Nicolette is a member of the Dramatist Guild, ASCAP, Maestra, Muse, Rise, Beyond Music, Songwriters Guild of America, The Society of Composers and Lyricists, and PAAL.
She is an advocate for speaking out against MMIW and supporting Frist Americans and First Nations in our industry.
