Premiere Recording Of Joseph Bologne's L'AMANT ANONYME Performed By Haymarket Opera Company Out February 10
Haymarket Opera, Chicago's premier early opera company that presents historically informed performances played on 18th-century classical era instruments, performs L'Amant Anonyme (The Anonymous Lover) by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745–1799) on a world-premiere recording of the opera to be released by Cedille Records (CDR 90000 217) on February 10, 2023. L'Amant Anonyme is available for pre-order from Cedille and Amazon.
Tickets For Opera Carolina's 73rd Season Are Now On Sale
Tickets for Opera Carolina's 2022/23 season are now on sale to the public. This season will explore iconic women in opera and focus on the power of opera by emphasizing HERstory. The season will open in October with Puccini's Tosca, continued in January 2023 with Porgy & Bess, and will conclude in April with Verdi's La traviata. All performances will be held at the Belk Theater.
Grand Teton Music Festival Livestreams Concerts This Month
This summer season, the Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) is thrilled to offer two livestreamed concerts, led by Music Director Sir Donald Runnicles on August 20 and 27, 2022. On August 20, the Festival Orchestra gives the U.S. Premiere of living composer Detlev Glanert's homage to Brahms, Idyllium, and Ingrid Fliter performs Robert Schumann's popular Piano Concerto. Brahms' Symphony No. 1 closes this grand program.
