Review: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at GREAT LAKES THEATER
William Shakespeare is considered by many to be the greatest Western world playwright of all times. In spite of this, many are reluctant to see a production of his plays. Why the hesitance? It is perceived that language he used, the format of the speeches, and the material he writes of, is too abstract or complicated to just “sit back, enjoy and understand.”

Review: THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR at GREAT LAKES THEATER
Sir John Falstaff is at it again! Yes, the chubby delightful bumbler, who was in the Bard’s HENRY IV, Parts 1 and 2, is now lighting up the stage in Great Lakes Theater’s THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, thanks to Elizabeth I. BWW Review: THE TEMPEST at Great Lakes Theater
THE TEMPEST, now on stage at Great Lakes Theatre, is thought to be Shakespeare's last known play. The script almost defies classification as it contains both tragic and comic themes, as well as romance. It explores many themes, including magic, betrayal, revenge, and family.
BWW Review: Women-Centric JULIUS CAESAR at GLT is Bloody-Good
Sara Bruner has proven once again that she is the queen of Shakespeare staging. As she did last season with her 'The Taming of the Shrew,' her women-centric version of 'Julius Caesar,' which is now on stage at Great Lakes Theater, is creative, well-formulated and long on clear message development.
