Australian music icon, Deborah Conway AM returns to Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) this April, in Songs from the Book of Life, a unique theatrical experience together with her partner and collaborator, Willy Zygier, based on her recently released memoir Book of Life.

For one night only, Chamber Made presents the world premiere of Dragon Ladies Don't Weep as part of The SUBSTATION Asia TOPA program at Arts Centre Melbourne. A work that sweeps across the senses, Dragon Ladies Don't Weep is a sonic portrait of new music icon Margaret Leng Tan and an evocative exploration of memory, time, control and loss.Â

Antarctica's beauty and infinite complexity will be explored in the world premiere of Speak Percussion's Polar Force, an immersive and live music performance combining custom-built instruments with pristine field recordings within a white inflatable space at Arts Centre Melbourne. The work, presented from 24 November - 1 December, draws upon the hundreds of hours of recordings by Dr Philip Samartzis made during his two Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowships.

Keir Choreographic Awards Announce Finalists
The Keir Choreographic Award is Australia's first major choreographic award presented by the Keir Foundation, Carriageworks and Dancehouse with the Australia Council. The Keir Choreographic Award is a national biennial award dedicated to commissioning short works and promoting innovative, experimental and cross-artform practices in contemporary dance. The award invites Australian professional artists with an established practice to propose a choreographic idea for an original live performance of no more than 20 minutes.

Wishes collected at the Center and online will become part of the confetti that flutters down at midnight in Times Square on New Year's Eve 2012. Stars who have contributed personal wishes to help celebrate the countdown to 2012 include Mayor Bloomberg, Robert De Niro, Jessica Biel, Matthew Broderick, Abigail Breslin, Hot Chelle Rae, Brian Williams, Sanjay Gupta MD, Wendy Williams, Carson Daly, and Jake T. Austin.

The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. The movie joins the powerhouse franchise that has delivered cable TV's No. 1 original movie telecast in Total Viewers for the past four years and TV's No. 1 original movie among Tweens 9-14 for the past nine years.
