SCRUM Theatre Take Over Disused Archive Building in Hammersmith To Create Pop-up Arts Centre
A new multi-disciplinary arts centre, SCRUM Studios, will open in Hammersmith offering training programmes and subsidised creative spaces for theatre makers. Artist collective SCRUM Theatre, is a charity formed by a collective of theatre-makers who transform disused buildings and turn them into pop-up arts hubs, seeking to create a more sustainable culture for UK artists at a time of crisis in the industry.

The 710 Season will feature five shows including a collaborative show by All for One Theatre Productions - Shakespeare in Love. This producing partnership between Shea's 710 Theatre, MusicalFare Theatre, Theatre of Youth, Irish Classical Theatre, and Road Less Traveled Productions marks the third year the group is producing a show on the 710 stage.

The Barbican today announces its full January to August 2020 Theatre and Dance programme in the Barbican Theatre and The Pit. Tickets go on sale to Barbican Members Plus on Friday 25 October 2019 and to Barbican Members on Monday 28 October 2019. From only £54, Barbican Members get priority booking, discounted tickets (subject to availability) and pay no booking fees. They can also take advantage of exclusive behind-the-scenes events and the Members' Lounge. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday 1 November 2019.

In 1607 Francis Beaumont was about to premiere his new play The Knight of the Burning Pestle, the pastiche that was set to change British comedy forever. It sees a bunch of audience members taking charge and invading the stage, dissatisfied with how the show they're watching is developing. Cheek By Jowl's current touring collaboration with Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre is a revisited version of the piece.

Niamh O'Flaherty Appointed Executive Director Of Cheek By Jowl
Cheek by Jowl today announces the appointment of Niamh O'Flaherty as Executive Director. Niamh joins the company in March 2019, from her current position as Senior Producer at Hofesh Shechter Company. She will be taking over from Natalie Highwood who is Interim Executive Director.
