ART/WNY Presents PARADE
American Repertory Theater of WNY is halfway through the 2018-19 season, and what an exceptional season so far. From the highly acclaimed musical HEATHERS to the provocative production of FOOL FOR LOVE, this season is "one for the books". And it ain't over just yet. ART/WNY will be presenting the moving and timely music PARADE from March 21st to April 13th.
ART/WNY Presents FOOL FOR LOVE
The American Repertory Theater of WNY presents the second production of the 2018-19 season with American playwright Sam Shepard's classic work, FOOL FOR LOVE. This will mark the first production in the new 545 Elmwood Avenue location. FOOL FOR LOVE runs November 1st to November 17th, all showtimes at 8 pm. There will be a special Industry Night scheduled for November 11th, 7 pm. Ticket prices are $20 General Admission; Student & Industry $10.

In her Artistic Director inaugural season and making her debut as a director for ART/WNY, Candice Kogut will oversee this compelling and timely piece of American musical theater. HEATHERS THE MUSICAL opens on September 6th and runs to September 22nd at ART/WNY's new 3200 Elmwood Avenue performance space located in the heart of Kenton, NY. Tom Waits has been painting an Americana landscape with his music over the past three decades. Much of his lyrics weave fictional individuals through nonfictional settings in the same 'dirty reality' style American short-story writer Raymond Carver and poet Charles Bukowski displayed in their works. The characters, the lives they lead, the dialogs, the monologs all within Waits vast encyclopedia of songs lend themselves to a theatrical setting where all are could be brought to life.

American Repertory Theater of WNY is presenting a special two-night staged reading of Buffalo-based playwright Matthew LaChiusa's dark comedy, FRED's REQUIEM. This vignette based work featuring grapes, a wake, and dirty family secrets will be presented at the company's 330 Amherst Street performance space on January 26th & 27th, 8 pm.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's music and Tim Rice's lyrics dynamically explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

O'Connell & Company Delays Opening of DEAR WORLD
The opening of DEAR WORLD at O'Connell & Company will be postponed one week due to a cast member illness. We will open on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 7:30pm, Performance dates for DEAR WORLD - A Musical Fable are September 28 - October 22, 2017. One Sunday evening performance has been added, October 15, 2017 at 7pm.
ART/WNY Presents Two Night Staged Reading
As summer decides on whether to stick around or not, American Repertory Theater of WNY will come out of the company's season hiatus with one of the first events of the 2017-18 season. August will feature a two-evening stage reading of Mark Humphrey's AN INQUIRY INTO THE FATE OF THE U.S.S. PEQUOD at the company's 330 Amherst location. The reading will feature Buffalo actor Stan Klimecko and the return on Jack Hunter as he will share his directorial eye with the project. .
