TLC Begins Production on Tyler Perry's TOO CLOSE TO HOME
TLC started production with Tyler Perry Studios on the network's first scripted series TOO CLOSE TO HOME, written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry. Production began this week in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios new studio lot located on the former Fort McPherson army base. The eight-part drama tells the story of a young woman who escaped her working class upbringing to discover unparalleled success in the fast-paced D.C. political circuit. TOO CLOSE TO HOME is slated to premiere later this summer.

The Blank Theatre's world premiere production of Sukie & Sue: Their Story by Michael John LaChiusa, directed by Kirsten Sanderson, was developed last year in The Blank's Living Room Series. Sukie & Sue: Their Story is the only play ever written by LaChiusa, who has received five Tony Award nominations for his musicals. Sukie & Sue: Their Story began previews on April 21, and opening is set for tonight, April 28 at 8pm. The engagement will run through Sunday, June 3.
