World Premiere of THE SCIENCE OF LEAVING OMAHA Opens at PBD Next Month
Carter W. Lewis's The Science of Leaving Omaha, a play about dashed hopes and broken dreams, resilience and resolve, receives its world premiere at Palm Beach Dramaworks on February 3 (8pm). One of the five plays featured in last season's New Year/New Plays Festival, The Science of Leaving Omaha runs through February 19, with specially priced previews on February 1 and 2 (7:30pm). DOC NYC Announces Full Lineup for 10th Edition
DOC NYC, America's largest documentary festival, announced the full lineup for its expanded tenth anniversary edition, running November 6-15 at the IFC Center in Greenwich Village and Chelsea's SVA Theatre and Cinépolis Chelsea. The 2019 festival includes 136 feature-length documentaries among over 300 films and events overall, making this landmark year DOC NYC's biggest edition yet. Included are 28 world premieres 27 US or North American premieres and 59 NYC premieres, with more than 500 doc makers and special guests expected in person to present their films or participate on panels.

WAM Theatre Announces Girls Ensemble 2018
WAM Theatre is proud and excited to announce openings in their summer 2018 Girls Ensemble devised theatre program. Now in its third year, the program is open to young people ages 13-18 from throughout the Berkshire region. WAM Theatre Announces New Hires and Board Members
WAM Theatre embarks on its ninth season with the announcement of two new members of the WAM Leadership Team and three new members of its Board of Directors. Talya Kingston has been named Associate Artistic Director, and Max Galdos-Shapiro will join WAM as General Manager. Together with Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven and Philanthropy and Outreach Coordinator Gwendolyn Tunnicliffe, they comprise the leadership team at WAM Theatre. Newly appointed to WAM's Board of Directors are Lynn Festa, Wendy Healey, and Arwen Lowbridge.

On Monday, November 6, at the 2nd Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards, the Board of the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association (BTCA) gave WAM Theatre co-founder and artistic director Kristen van Ginhoven the prestigious Larry Murray Award, given to a person or theatre project that advances social, political, or community issues.
WAM Theatre Donates $9,000 to Soldier On Women's Program
Every year WAM Theatre donates a portion of the box office proceeds from their fall Main Stage production to agencies that benefit women and girls locally, nationally, or internationally. The success of their production of The Last Wife by Kate Hennig enabled the company to present their largest donation ever to a single beneficiary - $9,000 to the Soldier On Women's Program.
