Chamber & Jazz music enthusiasts will want to mark their calendars for the start of Music Mountain's 88th Season! Music Mountain President, Nicholas Gordon announced America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival will kick off on June 11th with a summer featuring Beethoven and favorite Piano Quintets! Music Mountain to Launch New Collaboration with Catskill Jazz Factory

Music Mountain, America's Oldest Continuing Summer Chamber Music Festival, announces an exciting new collaboration with The Catskill Jazz Factory! Beginning on Saturday, July 16, a variety of jazz musicians will bring their talents to Music Mountain for a 5-weekend concert series. Artists scheduled to appear include Joanna Wallfisch, Dan Tepfer, Peter and Will Anderson Quintet, Chris Washburne's Ragtime Band and Chris Pattishall Octet. Concerts are scheduled Saturday evenings (6:30pm) beginning July 16 and running thru August 13. 'We are absolutely thrilled to have the Catskill Jazz Factory for five consecutive weeks. Last night, January 18th, 2016, Theatre Now New York presented its 3nd Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 3.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the 47th Street Theatre. An after-party, sponsored by MTI, was held after at Hurley's Saloon where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening. Cassatt String Quartet Returns to Music Mountain Today

Music Mountain, America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, continues its 84th season with an extra special weekend of chamber and folk music. The weekend begins today, August 24th (12noon - 9PM) with Music Mountain's first annual Folk Music Jamboree - a full day of music, crafts, and food! The chamber music continues on Sunday, August 25th when Cassatt String Quartet performs Shostakovich, Beethoven, and Faure with Ursula Oppens, piano. This weekend is an example of the continued commitment Music Mountain strives for to bring new music to the Falls Village community. The summer season has featured never before performed works and new collaborations. Concerts at Gordon Hall are scheduled through September 8.
