Stars of the stage and screen swapped their costumes for aprons, and served diners for a one-off sitting at The Ivy, a restaurant renowned for its unfaltering service. Leading the waiting staff this year and trying their hand at bartending, waiting tables, auctioneering, taking coats and welcoming guests were Jim Carter, Sheila Hancock and Dame Penelope Wilton. Heading up the waiting staff this year to ply their trades in bartending, waiting tables, manning cloakrooms and welcoming guests were Noma Dumezweni, Arlene Phillips and Freddie Fox.
Acting for Others Brings ONE NIGHT ONLY Back to The Ivy on 10 December
Theatrical charity Acting for Others today announces the return of One Night Only at The Ivy in West Street on Sunday 10 December 2017. Over 100,000 was raised last year for the charity, which is an umbrella organisation for 15 invaluable charities dedicated to supporting people from the theatre and dance communities who have fallen on hard times through injury, illness or circumstance.
