Born in Brooklyn, Neil has performed in 48 of the United states in a variety of roles and regional productions. He appeared as Che opposite Tony-nominee Isabelle Keating in EVITA, as Bert Healy alongside Tony-winner Ron Holgate's Daddy Warbucks in the International Tour of ANNIE, and as Manny Gelt in the infamous "IDENTICAL TWINS FROM BALTIMORE" with Tony-winner Adriane Lenox. The latter of these shows has the distinction of having been labeled "the worst musical of all time" by critic Clive Barnes. Mr. Schleifer survived that review to go on to play Uncle Louie in LOST IN YONKERS, Vernon Gersch in THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG, and has twice had the privilege of playing John Adams in 1776. In educational theatre, Mr. Schleifer is a two-time recipient of the National Youth Arts Award for directing. He has made television appearances on THE MARVELOUS MRS MAISEL, BILLIONS, LOVE LIFE and the HBO miniseries THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA.
