After a highly successful performance run in 2019, Bright Star returns to The Firehouse Theatre this September as a concert production! Bright Star features over 20 beautiful songs and tells a beguiling tale that unfolds in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina between 1923 and 1945. Billy Cane, a young soldier just home from World War II, meets Alice Murphy, the brilliant editor of a southern literary journal.

The Firehouse Theatre is proud to present the regional premiere of Bright Star May 23 - June 9, 2019. Inspired by real events of the 1940s, Bright Star tells a tale of love and redemption told through a Grammy-nominated bluegrass score. Written by Texans Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Bright Star premiered on Broadway in 2016. Local favorite Lucy Shea will return to Dallas from Chicago to star as Alice Murphy in Bright Star. Tyler Jeffrey Adams directs.
Leading Men Rotate Roles in The Firehouse Theatre's OF MICE AND MEN
John Steinbeck's American literature classic, Of Mice and Men has been brought to life in a dramatic stage play opening soon at The Firehouse Theatre. Set in California during the Great Depression, the story follows two migrant workers George, a sharp but uneducated, short-tempered man, and Lennie, a large but simple-minded man. Together they hope to one day acquire their own piece of land. But when Lennie stirs up trouble on the job, George must choose between protecting his friend or staying the course towards his version of the American dream.
Cast Announced For 2018 Stolen Shakespeare Festival
The SSG announces the cast for the 2018 Stolen Shakespeare Festival, Lost At Sea featuring TWELFTH NIGHT and THE TEMPEST by William Shakespeare. The festival runs February 9th March 4th at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center in the Sander's Theater, 1300 Gendy St. Fort Worth, TX 76107.
