BIO

Nathan Holley, a Utah Valley-based playwright and actor, is recognized for his compelling (and often absurd) original works, including Lifeboat and Godot, Searching. Having studied Musical Theater at SUU, he continues to enrich his theatrical expertise at Brigham Young University, where he's focused his studies on playwriting and dramatic theory.

At BYU, Holley's play Archipelago was recently presented as part of the College of Fine Arts' Writer/Dramaturg/Actor Workshop series. Simultaneously, he oversees podcast distribution for the institution's well-received broadcasting network, BYUradio, contributing his voice to promotions on KUMT 107.9 FM and playing various roles in the audio drama podcast, Kaboom.

In 2023, BYUradio brought Holley's one-act play, True Bugs, to life as a fully-realized audio production. The radio drama is now available on BYUradio, KUMT, and various podcast platforms and radio affiliates globally. An accomplished composer, Holley provided the original score for Utah's premiere production of Parfumerie. In 2020, he was honored with the Deseret News Sterling Scholar Award in the Theatre Arts category and has received numerous recognitions from local and nationwide performance organizations.

Notable Acting Credits: Seussical (Hale Center Theater Orem), Once (Hale Center Theater Orem), Pump Boys and Dinettes (Buffalo Theatre Co.), One for the Pot (Hale Center Theatre), As You Like It (Grassroots Shakespeare Co.), The Importance of Being Earnest (Southern Utah University)
