Ballo Arthur Pita's TEN SORRY TALES London Premiere Announces Casting
Award-winning Director and Choreographer Arthur Pita returns to the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler’s Wells this month to present the London premiere of TEN SORRY TALES, a dance theatre production with live music on stage based on the book of short stories by Mick Jackson. Playing from Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 October with two shows daily, TEN SORRY TALES offers the perfect half term treat for children and adults alike (ages 8+).
Arthur Pita's TEN SORRY TALES Will Premiere At DanceEast Next Month
Award-winning Director and Choreographer Arthur Pita presents the world premiere of TEN SORRY TALES, a dance theatre production based on Mick Jackson's book of short stories. A new commission by DanceEast and Sadler's Wells, produced by Pita's newly renamed company Ballo Arthur Pita, TEN SORRY TALES presents a collection of modern-day fables told through dance, theatre, live music and song. Opening at Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich on Friday 13 December, the production runs for 8 performances until Tuesday 17 December 2019.

Arthur Pita returns to The Place with the dark but thrilling double bill Stepmother/Stepfather. Stepfather is a revisit of the work Pita first created in 2007 for CandoCo Dance. He was approached by HeadSpaceDance to support a full evening's work and felt it would be the perfect time to resurrect this tale of selfishness, incest and murder. The evening is preceded by Stepmother, a new piece acting as a 'sister' work to the more established Stepfather.

Award-winning Director and Choreographer, Arthur Pita in collaboration with HeadSpaceDance returns to London to present his latest production STEPMOTHER/STEPFATHER - a wickedly gruesome double bill of dark dance. STEPMOTHER/STEPFATHER will tour to Birmingham and Bournemouth before its London premiere at The Place from 2nd to 11th March, followed by visits to Canterbury, Salford Quays and Newcastle. The Clemente Soto Velez Center Presents PS160
PS160 is an immersive architectural installation that takes place inside The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center. Created by artist Gabrielle Mertz, the project employs a choreographed series of light and sound projections located throughout the Clemente building to construct a performative experience of the architecture.

Jaehyo Lee Sculpture Will Debut in Union Square Park
NYC Parks & Recreation and CYNTHIA-REEVES Projects, in cooperation with the Union Square Partnership, are pleased to debutLOTUS, by Seoul-based artist, Jaehyo Lee, in New York City's Union Square Park. Located at the park's south eastern triangle, the exhibition will be on view May through October 2013. This is the gallery's second public art exhibition with Parks' Art in the Parks program, the first being Jonathan Prince's G2V in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza.

Wagner College Theatre will open the 2012-13 Stage One studio theater season with Frank Wedekind's "Spring Awakening: A Children's Tragedy." Written and set in 1890 Germany, the controversial play criticizes the sexually oppressive culture of the time.
