The 3rd Annual Honey Bee Cabaret will celebrate over 100 seasons of great acting at Plays & Players. The fundraiser benefits, in part, the Melissa Lynch Foundation, announcing a new yearly award for an emerging female theater artist. It all takes place on June 22, 2014.

Adelaide 'Fringe Legend' Guy Masterson, was due to premiere his new show, ANTHEM FOR A DOOMED YOUTH at the fringe next week, but personal circumstances forced him to withdraw... Rather than leaving an empty space at his venue, North Adelaide's newest hub, Live At Nine, Kevin Crease Studios, he is sending in his stead his very good friend - and Adelaide veteran, Bob Paisley in John Clancy's multi-award winning THE EVENT, last seen at the Fringe with David Calvitto in 2010 and winner of the Fringe Award for Best Performance.

Horse Trade Theater Group Sends Off The Red Room with BLAZE OF GLORY, Now thru 3/30
After 15 years Horse Trade Theater Group is sad to announce that they will no longer be operating out of The Red Room, a 32-seat theater located on the third floor of 85 East 4th Street. The landlord has decided to repurpose the space, and it will no longer be a performing arts venue. Horse Trade will be searching for a new third venue, and in the meantime will continue to operate out of The Kraine Theater at 85 East 4th Street and UNDER St. Marks at 94 St. Marks Place, for the foreseeable future. Horse Trade couldn't let The Red Room go without a proper send-off! So the month of March will be full of special events in The Red Room, as they say goodbye to a beloved East Village staple.

The Day of The Living Festival is an extraordinary four-day-event inspired by the highly touted indie documentary Don't Change the Subject, which was written and directed by Mike Stutz. Directed by Obie Award winner John Clancy (Americana Absurdum, Fatboy), previews of this refreshingly apocalyptic holiday tale begin December 3 at The Kraine Theater. Opening night is slated for Saturday, December 6 at 8pm.

This decision comes on the heels of a massive plumbing problem that has rendered its lower level 'lobby' and backstage storage area unusable and has forced much of its previously announced UNDERGROUNDZERO FESTIVAL to seek new venues.
