BIO
Nancy Hays will return to JPAC Theatre in the role of Amanda in The Glass Menagerie. Other credits include Rose in Gypsy, JPAC, Mame/Mame, Light Opera Works and Judy Garland/Boy from Oz, Pride Films and Plays and in a cabaret program Judy & Liza at the Palladium at the Metropolitan Room in New York City and Uptown Underground in Chicago. She has worked as a concert opening act for celebrities including George Burns, Tommy Tune, Rita Rudner and many others, as well as lead vocalist for several themed shows. Nancy’s country line dance song “Come Dance with Me” is an international hit and has been nominated for awards. She has recorded five albums and toured the UK five times with her original music, including a tour that concluded in July of 2017. Nancy has also made numerous television appearances on Fox, ABC, Discovery, Fit TV, NBC, WBG and WCIU and danced the salsa with Mario Lopez on national television. Chicago actress and musical entertainer Nancy Hays will perform in a special one-night cabaret event on Monday, January 23rd at Oscar's Palm Springs, presenting songs from Judy Garland's historic Carnegie Hall and London Palladium concerts, accompanied on the grand piano by award-winning music director Robert Ollis along with a jazz combo.

Cabaret has been at the heartbeat of Chicago’s nightclub scene for more than a century. Come hear blues, jazz, American songbook, burlesque, French music, pop, comedy and Broadway by some of Chicago's finest artists during the first-ever Chicago Cabaret Week, May 6-16, 2022. This series features 15 shows in a variety of music venues around Chicago. All performances are ticketed between $15 and $30. Underscore Theatre and The Den Theatre are pleased to present an all-new staging of the Jeff Award-nominated Best New Musical HAYMARKET (formerly Haymarket: The Anarchist's Songbook) the true story of Chicago's infamous Haymarket massacre. With book, music and lyrics by Alex Higgin-Houser and David Kornfeld, the actors accompany themselves to the stirring folk-infused score. Having spent the last two years workshopping the show, the authors alongside director Nick Thornton and musical director Robert Ollis have crafted an all-new theatrical experience - creating new songs, overhauling the book, and like the union workers from the show, building anew.
