However, being an overall entertainer has always been her dream' Her mother decided to put her in ballet, when she noticed that her daughter was always dancing; grocery stores, day care, at home, every canvas was her stage. NaTonia's core training includes the Richmond Ballet (nine years), Henrico High School's Center for the Arts (4 years), and finally the Florida State University (4.5 years). Through these enrichments, she has danced various roles in Richmond Ballet's "The Nutcracker", played the alto saxophone, was a varsity cheerleader, participated in show choir, acted, was the recipient of The Brad Boynton Award for Excellence in the Arts, became the Artistic Director of Phlava Dance Company, danced in numerous shows, as well as studied with various artists from Ron Brown to Suzanne Farrell. Currently living in New York City, NaTonia has recently returned from a two year European & Asian tour of the Broadway Musical WEST SIDE STORY as the featured role of the blonde Puerto Rican "Consuela", performed as Ensemble for Dallas Theater Center's workshop of the premiere musical STAGGER LEE with director Patricia McGregor and choreographer Camille A.
