The Smith Center To Present A Sensory-Friendly Performance Of DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS!
a??a??a??a??a??a??a??The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, a nonprofit organization, will present a sensory-friendly performance of Broadway's #1 holiday hit Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical at 11 a.m. on Nov. 30. To make live theater more accessible for all community members, this performance will be specially designed for audience members with sensory sensitivities and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Accommodations include the reduction of jarring noises and lights throughout the performance and providing designated quiet areas in the lobby for audience members to take breaks as needed.
HAMILTON Returns To The Smith Center For 2020-2021 Broadway Las Vegas Series Season
Today, producer Jeffrey Seller announced that the national tour of HAMILTON will return to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts as part of the 2020-2021 Broadway Las Vegas Series. Dates for the return Las Vegas engagement of HAMILTON will be announced, along with the rest of the 2020-21 Broadway Las Vegas Series, in January 2020.

With more than three decades of development and financial services experience, Neel most recently served as the Chief Development & Finance Officer for The Animal Foundation, where he oversaw and directed the early completion of a $35 million capital campaign.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and The Rogers Foundation announced today that nominations are now open for their fourth-annual Heart of Education Awards, recognizing outstanding educators in Clark County School District (CCSD). Community members are encouraged to nominate teachers through January 18, 2019, as hundreds of award finalists will be celebrated at a special, red-carpet event in April at The Smith Center.
The Smith Center Becomes The First Ever Selected By Disney To Partner With Rural Arts Organization
Building on five successful years as a regional affiliate with the national Disney Musicals in Schools program, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts announced today that Disney has selected it as the first performing arts center in the nation to help expand this outreach initiative to rural communities through a unique collaboration with a community arts organization. Developed by Disney Theatrical Productions, the Disney Musicals in Schools initiative is used to create sustainable theater programs in under-resourced elementary schools.

The Smith Center to present POSTMODERN JUKEBOX 10/14 for PBS
Following its successful participation in the 2016 PBS Arts Fall Festival, Myron's Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts will present two concerts by acclaimed group Postmodern Jukebox on August 14, with both shows filmed and available for PBS stations across the country to schedule for broadcast in December 2017. With performances at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the show will feature highly talented artists.
