The Washington Stage Guild continues our series of online presentations with a play perfectly suited to an online format. To follow our well-received streamed performances of George Bernard Shaw’s Don Juan in Hell, The Devil’s Disciple and How He Lied to Her Husband, we offer a play that explores the private life of our “house playwright,” George Bernard Shaw - Jerome Kilty’s 1957 epistolary play, Dear Liar, streaming free of charge from September 29th at 8 PM through October 3rd at 8 PM.
Marsha Mason and Brian Cox Star in Virtual Benefit Reading of DEAR LIAR
Bucks County Playhouse announced today that a special benefit reading of Jerome Kilty's play, 'Dear Liar' starring 4-time Oscar nominee Marsha Mason and Emmy winner Brian Cox and directed by Broadway's Mark Brokaw ('How I Learned to Drive'), will make its streaming debut on Tuesday, September 1 at 7:00 PM EST.
Michael Cerveris and More Set for Reading of THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT
Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for the next REVELATION READING, the New York Premiere of The Shadow of a Doubt by Edith Wharton, directed by Eleanor Holdridge: Emily Brown, Michael Cerveris, Kimberly Chatterjee, Samantha Blaire Cutler, Sanjit De Silva, Adam Harrington, Kathryn Meisle, Amanda Quaid and Brian Wile. This will take place on Monday January 28th at 7:30 PM at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).
Annette Bening & Mark Harelik Set for Reading of DEAR LIAR at A.C.T.
Kicking off its 50th anniversary festivities, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will present a one-night-only reading of Jerome Kilty's Dear Liar on Sunday, October 2 at 7 p.m. at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater. Starring Academy Award nominee and M.F.A. graduate Annette Bening and A.C.T. favorite Mark Harelik, this special event will be directed by fellow A.C.T. alum Nancy Carlin, whose mother Joy Carlin was A.C.T.'s associate artistic director in 1986.

Jay Goede Joins Cast Of LOOPED At Arena Stage 5/29-6/28
As playwright Matthew Lombardo continues to develop the upcoming Arena Stage production of Looped starring four-time Emmy Award-winning Valerie Harper (Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show) as Tallulah Bankhead, a casting change has taken place. Jay Goede, known for his work on Broadway in Angels in America, A Year with Frog and Toad and Sex and Longing, will now play opposite Harper in the pre-Broadway staging, directed by Rob Ruggiero at Arena Stage at the Lincoln Theatre May 29 through June 28, 2009.
