Gloucester Stage Company's 35th Anniversary Season wraps up with August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning Fences from August 21 through September 7 at the Gorton Theatre, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. The 1987 Winner for Pulitzer Prize in Drama, Fences tells the moving story of Troy Maxson, a former star of the Negro baseball leagues who now works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded from the major leagues during his prime, Troy's bitterness takes its toll on his relationships with his family. Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Eric C. Engel directs this powerful and poignant American work with GSC veteran Boston actress Jacqui Parker as Rose Maxson and a cast of GSC newcomers including Daver Morrison as Troy Maxson; Warren Jackson as Lyons; Gregory Marlow as Jim Bono; Jermel Nakia as Gabriel; Jared Brown as Cory and Gloucester Stage Youth Acting Workshops student Bezawit Strong in her professional stage debut as Raynell.

Paper Mill Playhouse concludes its 75th Anniversary Season with America's favorite musical, Grease. With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease will be directed by Daniel Goldstein with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Additional songs are by John Farrar, Barry Gibb, Scott Simon and Louis St. Louis. Grease will play the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from May 28 through June 29, 2014. Megan Hilty, Matthew Morrison & More to Be Featured in Boston Pops' Spring 2013 Season
The 2013 Boston Pops season, May 8-June 15, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, will present a season-long tribute to the world of movie music, along with programs featuring a wide variety of American musical styles, including jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel, pop, classic standards from the 50s and 60s, and show-stopping songs of Broadway and the American Songbook. For the programs focusing on the season theme, 'Best of Hollywood Film Music,' audiences will hear their favorite music from classic movies and today's popular soundtracks performed live by the Boston Pops, while the accompanying movie clips are projected onto a giant screen suspended above the orchestra. Matthew Morrison Set For Goodman Theatre Gala, 5/21
Screen and stage heartthrob Matthew Morrison takes a break from his Glee television classroom to headline Goodman Theatre's May 21 Gala to celebrate 'One Enchanted Decade' on Dearborn Street. The Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony-Award nominated 'triple-threat' (LA Times) has captivated audiences of all ages. 'Blessed with a boyish innocence and beautiful voice' (Playbill), Morrison lights up both the stage and small screen with his mesmerizing talent. The black-tie gala event begins with a cocktail reception at the Goodman (170 N. Dearborn), followed by Morrison's performance in the 856-seat Albert Theatre. The festivities continue as guests shuttle to The Fairmont Hotel (200 N. Columbus) for an elegant dinner and dancing to the tunes of the Al Sofia Orchestra. All proceeds benefit the Goodman's Educational and Community Engagement programs.
