The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU premiers this season with their acclaimed series "A Conversation With . . . " featuring the Tony Award-winning Broadway producer and political activist Adam Epstein, in conversation with acclaimed journalist Steve Rothaus of The Miami Herald. On Tuesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m. Broadway World had the chance to interview Mr. Epstein-producer of Hairspray, Cry-Baby and the revival of Amadeus just to name a few.
Huntington Names New Board of Trustees Officers
The Huntington Theatre Company Board of Trustees names David R. Epstein to the role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sharon Malt to President, Carol B. Langer to Treasurer, and Sherryl Cohen to Clerk. Mr. Epstein and Ms. Malt assumed their new leadership roles at Monday's Huntington Board of Trustees meeting. Mr. Epstein succeeds Carol G. Deane (active in real estate management), Huntington Trustee Chairman since 2010; Ms. Malt succeeds Mitchell Roberts (owner of PR Restaurants LLC, a Panera Bread franchise), President since 2010. Both Ms. Deane and Mr. Roberts will continue to serve on the Huntington's Board of Trustees and Executive Committee.
Music Mountain to Welcome Enso String Quartet & More, 7/16-17
America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, Music Mountain, continues its exciting 87th Anniversary Season with the critically acclaimed Enso String Quartet with guest artist Daniel Epstein, piano performing Turina, Beethoven, and Schumann on Sunday, July 17 (3PM). As the first collaboration with the acclaimed Catskill Jazz Factory and MM, jazz vocalist Joanna Wallfisch will sing the sounds of the 1960s on Saturday, July 16 (6:30pm). The Music Mountain summer is in full swing and will feature 7 more weekends of incredible music including returning favorite chamber ensembles and musicians, first-time guests (pianist Richard Goode), the ever-popular Saturday Evening Twilight Series, featuring an array of Jazz ensembles and musicians, including the artists of the Catskill Jazz Factory, and the second season of the new Music Mountain Master Classes for Young Artists plus so much more! Morey B. Epstein Joins Synetic Theater as Development Director
This December Morey B. Epstein will join the Synetic Theater family after 24 years as the chief development officer at Washington DC's Studio Theatre. Synetic is most known for cutting-edge and visceral theatre productions and has won 92 Helen Hayes Award Nominations and 24 Awards in 12 years of its existence. Mr. Epstein will use his expertise and extensive knowledge to help fund Synetic's mission and programs. He will be responsible for organizing and directing all facets of fundraising activities.
