The Kennedy Center Announces 50th KCACTF National Festival
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 50th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 16-20, 2019 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF. Selected awardees and representatives will be brought to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in the National Festival. These student artists from across the United States have been recognized for their outstanding work from the eight regional festivals that were held January 8 through February 28, 2019.

OSF's Allen Elizabethan Theatre Opens Today
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival opens its outdoor theatre the weekend of June 13-15 with two Shakespeare productions, Richard III, directed by James Bundy, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Sarah Rasmussen. Also opening is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical Into the Woods, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The shows will close the weekend of October 10-12.

NAATCO to Open 24th Season with AWAKE & SING, 8/16-9/8
The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theater Company, will kick off their 24th season with Clifford Odets's Awake & Sing! Stephen Fried directs an all-Asian American cast that includes Sanjit de Silva, Mel Duane Gionson, Andrew Ramcharan Guilarte, Mia Katigbak, Teresa Avia Lim, Jon Norman Schneider, David Shih, Alok Tewari, and Henry Yuk. This Off-Broadway limited engagement will begin August 16th at Walker Space (46 Walker Street) and continue through September 8th only. Opening Night is set for August 21st (8pm).
The Amoralists Announce Derek Ahonen Talkback, 7/15
The Amoralists announced today that the group will be presenting a post-show talkback on Sunday, July 15 with playwright Derek Ahonen. Joe Meyers of the Connecticut Post will moderate the discussion, which follows the 2pm performance. The Amoralists are currently presenting the critically acclaimed World Premiere of Ahonen's The Bad and the Better, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin.
BAD AND THE BETTER to Feature Themed Nights in July
The Amoralists, currently presenting their critically acclaimed World Premiere of Derek Ahonen's THE BAD AND THE BETTER directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin, are announcing a series of themed events starting tonight in line with the group's wild and raucous aesthetic. The group invites audience members to partake in both pre and post show hijinks with the cast and crew during their upcoming Ice Luge Thirsty Thursdays, Mustache Mondays, Takeover Twosday and Moretti Matinees.
