Ed Asner and Kate Burton To Star In THE SOAP MYTH East Coast Tour
Seven time Emmy Award-winner Ed Asner and three time Emmy Award and Tony Award-nominee Kate Burton will star in a two-week East Coast tour of concert readings of Jeff Cohen's play The Soap Myth. The readings, which will be directed by Pam Berlin and will also feature Ned Eisenberg & Blair Baker, will serve as a tribute to International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The tour will begin on Monday, January 22, 2018 in Miami Beach Florida, and will conclude on Thursday, February 1 at Hofstra University on Long Island.

BAFTA Announces Scholarship Recipients In UK and US
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the names of 21 students in financial need who will receive scholarships to study in the UK or US through the BAFTA scholarship programmes in the UK, Los Angeles and New York.

Maria Aitken Replaces Nicholas Martin as Director of Huntington's THE SEAGULL
Huntington Theatre Company favorite and frequent director Maria Aitken (The Cocktail Hour, Betrayal, Private Lives, Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps) will return to the Huntington this spring to direct Tony Award nominee and television star Kate Burton in Anton Chekhov's passionate classic, The Seagull. Aitken replaces Nicholas Martin who was previously slated to direct the production but has withdrawn for personal reasons.
Burton, Estrella, Chazan and Osmundson Receive 2013 Pell Awards Honors Tonight
Trinity Repertory Company previously announced that three local Rhode Island residents would be receiving Pell Awards this year in addition to Kate Burton, the recipient of the 2013 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The 17th annual Pell Awards will be held tonight, June 10, 2013 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.
