The New Coordinates, formerly The New Colony, has announced casting for its world premiere of Kristin Idaszak's heart- wrenching cliffhanger Last Ascent, directed by Denise Yvette Serna, playing October 15 – November 20, 2022 at The Den Theatre (2B), 1331 N Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

Actor, Monette McLin, has written a one-woman show 'Phoenix Payne' as a way to explore her admiration of the infamous Doris Marie Payne. Monologues delivered by fictional characters, and some from Payne herself, allow the audience to choose whether Doris should be vindicated, or continue to be vilified for her actions.
