Good Chance 'FreeDome' Arts Extravaganza Comes To Sheffield In February 2020
Five years since Good Chance built the first 'Theatre of Hope' in the Calais a?oeJunglea?? camp and began its ground-breaking international work with artists from refugee backgrounds, the award-winning charity will be leading a programme of work in Sheffield to celebrate and welcome those who have migrated to the city from across the globe.

Almost four years since Good Chance built its first 'Theatre of Hope' in the Calais Jungle camp and began its ground-breaking international programme of work with artists from refugee backgrounds, the award-winning charity is delighted to announce a season of programmes and performances across summer and autumn 2019 in the UK and France. THE JUNGLE At San Francisco's Curran To Close On May 19
After captivating audiences in the San Francisco Bay Area, THE JUNGLE must close on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Presented by Sonia Friedman Productions with Tom Kirdahy, the Good Chance Theatre, National Theatre and Young Vic production of THE JUNGLE at San Francisco's Curran (445 Geary Street) "surpasses the hype" (48 Hills) and has been hailed as "one of the most visceral and haunting plays in recent memory" (The Mercury News). Written by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson and under the direction of Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the West Coast limited engagement of THE JUNGLE has been hailed as "A knockout: vibrantly theatrical and pointedly contemporary" (San Francisco Examiner). Additional Casting Announced For The West Coast Premiere Of THE JUNGLE
Today, Carole Shorenstein Hays and Sonia Friedman Productions with Tom Kirdahy announced the additional casting for the West Coast Premiere of the Good Chance Theatre, National Theatre and Young Vic production of THE JUNGLE by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson at San Francisco's Curran. Set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp in Calais, France, the Jungle became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people in 2015. Under the direction of Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the limited engagement begins Tuesday March 26, 2019 and will run through Sunday, May 19, 2019. Opening night is Thursday, April 4, 2019. THE JUNGLE Enters its Final Weeks In The West End
Audiences have just three weeks left to see the critically acclaimed production of The Jungle by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson at the Playhouse Theatre in London's West End. Directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, the production has received widespread critical acclaim and won the South Bank Sky Arts Award in the 2018 Theatre category. Set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp, the Calais Jungle, which in 2015, became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people, the play transferred to the West End from the Young Vic where the traditional proscenium Playhouse theatre underwent a remarkable transformation. Housing Miriam Buether's set design, audiences are invited to sit at the benches and tables of the Afghan cafe in the Calais camp or in the Dress Circle.
