BIO

Mo Zhou is a stage director based in New York City.

She is currently on the directing staff at Houston Grand Opera and Dallas Opera, where she assists on their main stage productions and prepares alternate casts. Prior to that, she has spent two years as James Marcus Directing Fellow at the Juilliard School, apprenticing alongside Stephen Wadsworth. She has also received training from Wolf Trap Opera, the Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera Center, the Glimmerglass Festival, New York Theater Workshop, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Williamstown Theater Festival, to name a few.

Mo is a 2016-18 Time Warner Directing Fellow at the WP Theater, a 2050 Directing Fellow with New York Theater Workshop in the season of 2016-2017, a proud alum of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors' Lab.

She received a BA in English and Theater at Bowdoin College and finished her MFA in Stage Directing from Columbia University, under the tutelage of Anne Bogart.
