National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's THE TENTH MAN In Yiddish Sells Out
National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF), the longest consecutively producing theatre in the United States and the world's oldest continuously operating Yiddish theatre company, announced the stellar cast for the free, world premiere staged reading of Paddy Chayefsky's 1959 Tony Award-nominated play The Tenth Man, newly translated into Yiddish by Eleanor Reissa and Harvey Varga, on Tuesday, November 13 at 7 pm at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Edmond J. Safra Plaza, 36 Battery Pl. NY, NY 10280. All tickets were gone in a few hours.

Florida Repertory Theatre, an Associate Member of the National New Play Network, is seeking submissions for its 2018 PlayLab Festival slated for May 3 6. The fifth annual festival is an intensive weekend of rehearsals, readings, talkbacks, and development that brings professional playwrights, directors, and actors together to hone up to six new plays in a laboratory setting.

Playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, across from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, from which the story has taken inspiration, this limited Off Broadway engagement opened last night and will run through August 6th.
