Lloyd & Ricky are set to bring the world premiere of their concert to Ovations on Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th. Lloyd & Ricky's 'World Premiere' concert at OVATIONS of HOUSTON showcases the country's newest dynamic singing duo, whose voices together achieve a fresh, alternately subtle, soulful, and explosive interpretation of classic rock, anthemic pop, Broadway, and original songs. BACK TO THE BACKLOT Will Be Held at The Factory/Ultra Suede on Saturday, November 9
Back to the Backlot, a live musical comedy variety show, will bring back many of West Hollywood's famed Backlot Theatre's original showcase stars to commemorate the end of an era of one of the country's most famous venues for live entertainment. The event will mark the beginning of the preservation project known as Robertson Lane, which will re-build the venue formally known as The Factory and the famous Studio One Nightclub. The historic building opened in 1929 as the home of Mitchell Cameras, an early and important movie camera maker for the large movie studios. It was then the Studio One nightclub/Backlot Theatre from the late 1970s through the 1990s.

Special guests include alumni Julia Sweeney, Janeane Garofalo, Bob Odenkirk, Maria Bamford, Greg Behrendt, Andy Kindler, Scott Thompson, Allee Willis, Laura Kightlinger, Alex Edelman, Rebecca Corry, Jill Soloway and many more to be announced, hosted by creatrix Beth Lapides with musical director Mitch Kaplan on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. Finding light in the darkness was a dominant, if not the dominant, theme in 2017, so in closing out the year with SANDEMONIUM, it tracks that Sandra Bernhard would work it into her New Year's show---in her own distinctly Sandyland way, as her patented snark is a feature, not a flaw---and the crowd during her December 29 performance at Joe's Pub seemed just fine with that.
