BIO

Mitch Douglas spent over thirty years as a literary agent at International Creative Management and has represented some of the world’s major writers including Tennessee Williams, Graham Greene, and Arthur Miller. He now owns and operates Mitch Douglas Literary and Theatrical, Inc. in New York representing books, plays, and musicals.

He is exclusive agent and co-owner of the Henry Farrell Literary works which includes What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, The Hostage, Death On The Sixth Day, What’s The Matter With Helen?, How Awful About Allen?, and Such A Gorgeous Kid as well as Farrell’s short stories and unpublished works.

He currently represents the biographies of J. Randy Taraborrelli including the biography of The Hilton Family Dynasty, Beyonce and the mini-series based on The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, and the Kennedy Family. He represents the new NUNSENSE musicals of Dan Goggin – Nunset Boulevard and Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class.

Calvin Mitchell (Mitch) Douglas passed from metastatic brain cancer on November 5th, 2020 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY. He was 78 years old.

Participants include Eli Wallach & Anne Jackson, Vanessa Redgrave, Marian Seldes, John Guare, Olympia Dukakis, John Patrick Shanley, Gregory Mosher, Sylvia Miles, William Jay Smith, Lenya Rideout, Jeremy Lawrence, Wyatt Prunty, David Kaplan, Thomas Keith, Mitch Douglas, and current Cathedral Poet-in-Residence Charles F. Martin. It is expected that additional friends and colleagues of Mr. Williams will also be taking part in the evening.
