Savannah Rep announced today its full company for their March 5th live Season Announcement and concert. Two-time Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Waiting for Godot, Law & Order) will present the inaugural Trailblazer award to Michael Cerveris. Director and arts advocate JinHi Soucy Rand will present the inaugural Community Vanguard award to Nick Palumbo.
American Traditions Vocal Collection Announces 2021-2022 Season and Organizational Changes

The American Traditions Vocal Collection, previously known as the American Traditions Vocal Competition, has expanded it's organizational name to be more inclusive of its year round offerings. Originally producing one an annual event - its namesake competition, the ATC has grown to include year-round musical concert events, a large-scale education program that takes place in classrooms, and includes it's unique high school offering, the Junior ATC, as well as maintaining the competition, now in its 29th consecutive year.

The semifinalists each performed three songs out of the nine genres of American music: Opera, Musical Theatre, Hollywood, Jazz, Folk, Country, Pop/Rock Singer-Songwriters (1980-today), Art Song, Gospel, Songs of Johnny Mercer, Blues, Religious Music, Popular Music of 1950-1980, Great American Songbook, and Cabaret.
American Traditions Vocal Competition To Host Free Outdoor Concert Next Week

The American Traditions Vocal Competition will be hosting a free outdoor concert at 12 (noon) on Saturday Feb. 13. This 30-minute concert will take place outside a private home located at 426 Abercorn Street. Attendees are welcome to listen to this concert, which is free and open to the public, from the beautiful and spacious Calhoun Square across from the residence, to ensure social distancing.

With 28 contestants in its 28th year, the American Traditions Vocal Competition (ATC) has pivoted to present the competition online for worldwide and local audiences to ensure safety for audiences and artists during this time of COVID-19. Performances will broadcast online at 7 p.m. each evening throughout the competition, slated for Feb. 9-19.
