Umbra Vitae Reveal 'Velvet Black' From Their Sophomore LP

The album's darkly captivating second single 'Velvet Black' arrives with a music video directed by John Bradburn.  Umbra Vitae vocalist/lyricst Jacob Bannon comments, 'Lyrically this song is about pressure and how it forces actions that aren't in line with who we want to be. Wear Your Wounds Unveil RAINBOW FADES In Advance Of New LP

This Friday, July 12th, Wear Your Wounds (the project created by Converge founder Jacob Bannon) will release their new LP Rust on the Gates of Heaven.  In advance of the album's street date, the band has premiered the album's slow building, reverb-soaked third single, “Rainbow Fades” — watch and share now on YouTube (and brace yourself for the payoff at the end).
Wear Your Wounds Feat. J. Bannon Announce 'RUST ON THE GATES OF HEAVEN

Wear Your Wounds was created by Converge founder Jacob Bannon. Initially conceived as a solo project, it evolved into a five-piece band that often works with collaborating musicians. In 2017 Wear Your Wounds released WYW (the debut double album) and Arthritic Heart (a New Noise Magazine single). A live band was then assembled for a number of shows including Roadburn Festival 2017 and Desert Festival UK. Later on that year their Dunedevil (an experimental album) was released; a companion piece to Bannon's abstract art book of the same name. In 2018 Wear Your Wounds released their Live at the BBC 12' LP at Maida Vale Studio (MV4). That year Wear Your Wounds also played select shows on the East Coast and Europe including an appearance at Roadburn Festival 2018, which was also curated by Bannon.

Le Petit Theater Announces New Arts Education Program BECAUSE WE CAN

Le Petit Theater debuted its new theatre arts education program with excerpts of LOMBARDI for close to 200 public school students this morning as part of "Because We Can," a new initiative to educate New Orleans youths about theatre.Students from St. Paul Lutheran School, McDonough 32 Literacy Charter School, The Good Shepherd School and Encore Academy were treated to breakfast treats from Tableau Restaurant, music by Kermit Ruffins, scenes from LOMBARDI and a Q&A with former New Orleans Saints player Mike McKenzie, founder of the 34 Ways Foundation.
