Hij gaat de rol delen met Stefan Rokebrand die al sinds de première in de musical over Don Quichot (gespeeld door Huub van der Lubbe) speelt. Waas speelt zijn première op woensdag 21 februari in Martiniplaza in Groningen. Op deze avond zal ook Marisa van Eyle haar debuut maken in De man van La Mancha, zij neemt de rol van huishoudster, kapper en Officier van de Inquisitie over van Doris Baaten.
