Michole Biancosino is a director, producer, writer, and deviser, who has been developing and directing new works for the stage for over 20 years. As the Co-Founding Artistic Director of Project Y Theatre Company, Michole has a track record of launching world premieres in NYC, regionally, and internationally. She co-created “Trump Lear” with actor/comedian David Carl, which had a year-long run downtown before selling out Edinburgh Fringe two seasons in a row. Another co-creation, “Gary Busey’s One-Man Hamlet” enjoyed two hit Fringe runs – in NY and Edinburgh – before touring the US including Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Directing world premieres include “Three Musketeers 1941” by Megan Monaghan Rivas, “Connected” by Lia Romeo, “Cindy” and “Sleeping Beauty” by Amina Henry, as well as Peter Michael Marino's "Show UP!" "Show Up, Kids!" and "Planet of the Grapes" amongst many other new plays. Her productions have won multiple NY Innovative Theatre Awards, a United Solo Award, and Best Of and Critics’ Pick from The New York Times and TimeOutNY. She is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Middlebury College. MFA in Directing: Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. Recipient: SDC Gielgud Award for Classical Directing.
