Documentary Series LAUREL CANYON to Premiere on EPIX This May
Premium network EPIX® has announced that its two-part doc series Laurel Canyon will premiere Sunday, May 31st at 10p.m., and conclude the following Sunday, June 7th at 10p.m. Directed by Alison Ellwood (History of the Eagles), the series features an intimate portrait of the artists who created a music revolution through a wealth of rare and newly unearthed footage and audio recordings.

The Coronado Island Film Festival (CIFF), running Nov. 8 -11, is celebrating the achievements of four film industry luminaries at a red-carpet gala honoring Cloris Leachman with the Legacy Award, Diane Warren with the Transcendent Award, Michelle Phillips with the Cultural Impact Award, and Lois Burwell with Artistry in Filmmaking Award.
Theatre Under The Stars 50th Anniversary Season Gala Wows Attendees And Raises A Record $1.37 Million
Welcome to Theatre Under The Stars 50th Anniversary Season Gala, an incredible and intimate celebration this past Saturday, March 23rd with Broadway star Idina Menzel and more than 600 TUTS family and friends. Many guests said it was the "best gala" they had ever attended. The gorgeous event designed by Taylor DeMartino of Blooming Gallery not only turned The Post Oak Hotel grand ballroom into a supper club "under the stars" that night, but guests experienced the magic of live musical theatre while supporting a great cause. A private meet and greet with Menzel was given to top sponsors along with gifts donated by David Peck. This historic event raised more funds than any other Gala in TUTS history - $1.37 million for "Houston's Home for Musical Theatre".
Boulder International Film Festival Closing Night & Special Guest, 3/3/19
The Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) is pleased to announce Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and former lead singer of The Wallflowers, Jakob Dylan, will make a special appearance for the film Echo in The Canyon at BIFF's Closing Night on Sunday, March 3 at the Boulder Theater. This special screening of Echo In The Canyon, directed by music-industry veteran Andrew Slater and starring Jakob Dylan, features the sounds of LA's famous Laurel Canyon music scene in the '60s—including music from The Byrds, The Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, The Mamas & The Papas and more.
The LA Film Festival Announces 2018 Winners
The LA Film Festival, produced by Film Independent, announced the winners of the 2018 Festival at the Awards Reception at the W Hotel in Hollywood presided over by Festival Director Jennifer Cochis and Film Independent President Josh Welsh. Cochis and Welsh also took the opportunity to thank the more than 50 generous sponsors, funders and media partners without whom the Festival would not be possible.
Tarrant Actors Regional Theatre Stages MAN OF LA MANCHA
The Tarrant Actors Regional Theatre will open its 2018-19 season in October with the award-winning Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, in the historic W.E. Scott Theatre at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, 1300 Gendy Street, Fort Worth TX 76107. The production is directed by TART Artistic Director Allen Walker, with music direction by Kristin Spires and choreography by Jennie Jermaine.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) Gala, honoring Jim and Helen Shaffer for their decades of service and support to TUTS and the Houston arts community, was held on Friday night at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Cal and Connie Dalton and David Peck and Michelle Phillips co-chaired the event produced by the TUTS team and Live! Event Design.
Rock Hall Gets Ready to Unveil New Hall of Fame on April 7
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is getting ready to shine in the spotlight when its induction ceremony returns to Cleveland next month. Adding to the Rock Week excitement, the new Hall of Fame, an entire floor celebrating Inductees, opens April 7 during Celebration Day at the Museum with free admission. It cranks up the fan engagement and gives Rock Hall visitors a chance to voice their choice for who should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The new experiences cap off the latest phase of the Rock Hall's multi-year, multi-million-dollar transformation, which included the opening of the Power of Rock Experience in the Connor Theatre this past summer.
