Outfest Launches 2020 Screenwriting Lab
Outfest has launched its 2020 Outfest Screenwriting Lab. The Lab has selected eight scripts that reflect Outfest's mission to advance the visibility of LGBTQIA+ stories and experiences in media.

The Chelsea Symphony, featured in the Golden Globe-winning Amazon Originals show Mozart in the Jungle, announces the continuation of its 2017/18 season, entitled Sea Change, with concerts on January 26 and 27 featuring a World Premiere by Eric Lemmon, Camille Saint-Sa ns' Violin Concerto No. 3 featuring violinist Deborah Nixon (1/26 only), the World Premiere of Michael Colina's Isles of Shoals featuring flutist Michelle Stockman (1/27 only), and Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 5.

Savor scrumptious cuisine prepared by 26 of Sarasota and Bradenton's most well-respected gentlemen! Asolo Rep's fourth annual Men Who Cook, sponsored by Mattison's, ABC 7 and Style magazine, will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 6pm at Mattison's Bayside at the Van Wezel. Guests will have the opportunity to try all of the chefs' signature dishes - ranging from Moussaka to 'Slap Ya Mama' BBQ Ribs. This fun, casual event, chaired by Beverly Bartner, Judi Gallagher, Molly Schechter and Margaret Wise, will benefit Asolo Rep's 2013-14 season. The event will also feature a cocktail hour, old-fashioned cake auction, a table decor competition, surprise contests, a dessert and coffee bar and the much-anticipated 'Parade of Chefs.'

It isn't every day you can tell a Chicago Bear to 'break a leg!' Goodman Theatre's 7th annual 'Make-A-Wish Night' features the superstar former Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher and 17-year-old beneficiary Kenneth Schumacher, who wishes to be a part of a professional theatrical production. Urlacher and Schumacher don costumes tailored especially for them and appear in select scenes of the 36th annual production of A Christmas Carol, Chicago's favorite holiday tradition.
