BWW Review: GREAT EXPECTATIONS Entertains at Syracuse Stage
Syracuse Stage opened its 44th season with Gale Childs Daly's adaptation of Charles Dickens' masterpiece GREAT EXPECTATIONS, brilliantly directed by Michael Bloom. The production is humorous, fast-paced, and very easy to follow regardless of familiarity with the novel.
BWW Review: THIRD at TheaterWorks
The title character of THIRD is male: Woodson Bull III, called 'Third' for short. He's a blonde, blue-eyed athlete, with the kind of name that suggests he's a scion of a powerful upper class family-but looks can be deceiving. Unfortunately, the central character in the play, Professor Laurie Jameson, doesn't seem to know that, despite her Harvard/Oxford training in critical thinking.
BWW Review: EQUIVOCATION at STNJ is Fascinating Drama
'Equivocation' is now on stage at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey through October 4th. Written by Bill Cain and directed by Paul Mullins, metropolitan area audiences should not miss the opportunity to see this fascinating drama.
BWW Blog: Ed Dixon of Pittsburgh Public Theater's L'HOTEL - Third Week
Tuesday, October 28
We started the new week with the top of act two. We sat around and read it. We've started doing this in comfy chairs in a circle rather than around a table and it's very intimate. Then we started at the top. Everyone's on stage from the beginning and it's so marvelous to see how at this point, everyone is really inside the characters so it goes really quickly in a kind of short hand. We got all the way up to the "eleven o'clock number" moment of the second act and quit there.
