Agnes is a tough, drug and booze-fueled, down-and-out bartender living in a seedy motel room somewhere in Oklahoma when her lesbian best friend brings a paranoid drifter named Peter over for a night of snorting, smoking and drinking. When Peter's conspiratorial stories begin to infiltrate Agnes's mind and convince her that their room is infested, their horrific love story quickly descends into a downward spiral of co-dependency, blood and bugs.

Killer Joe is the first play written by the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning author of August: Osage County, Tracy Letts. The play is a southern gothic black comedy that derives humor from the dirty realism of stereotypical white trash characters that are not only victims of circumstance, but also victims of themselves, enslaved to their own malice and delusions. In this withering rustic outlook on the disenfranchised in America, the Smith family hires Killer Joe to do away with mother for the insurance money. Killer Joe decides to bed the Smith's young virgin daughter, Dottie, as sexual collateral against his final fee until the insurance policy is paid. Before it's over nearly everyone is a bloody mess.

Following the critical success of 'Extremities' this past October, the horror and suspense theatre company Molotov Theatre Group is bringing 'Normal' by Anthony Neilson to the DC stage in March. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, March 6-March 30 at 7:30 PM at the DC Arts Center, 2438 18th St, NW, Washington, DC 20009. Tickets are $25 ($40 for a reduced price pass for the remainder of the Molotov season), and are available through the Molotov web site (www.molotovtheatre.org ). Press night is Saturday, March 8.
