THE FLICK by Annie Baker Comes to Third Rail in January
Set in a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, home to one of the last 35 millimeter film projectors in the state, The Flick follows the hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking stories of Sam, Avery and Rose, three mismatched employees. As they sweep up popcorn, bitch about their bosses, and critique the films that play at their ill-attended cineplex, the trio's own funny and fraught dramas play out in the empty aisles. But unlike the films that flicker from the projection booth, these dramas have real-world consequences.

BWW Review: Love, Loss, Loneliness, and Figuring Out How to Be a Person in THE FEW at CoHo Productions
In the middle of Samuel D. Hunter's THE FEW, Brian - a long-haul truck driver recently returned home after a four-year absence - slumps in a chair and says: 'I'm really terrible at being a person.' That statement perfectly encapsulates the struggle at the center of this play, which is about people trying to figure out how to be people and to perform the seemingly impossible task of connecting with themselves and with one another.

BWW Reviews: A Family Dinner Is SWEET AND SAD at Third Rail
I completely forgot I was watching a play. The actors disappear into their roles, and the dialogue is so natural, filled with the interruptions, unexplained digressions, and inside references that you'd expect to hear at a family dinner.
'Comedians with Disabilities Act' Tour to Play Pacific Pinball Museum, 9/14
A troupe of comedians with disabilities promises big laughs to benefit the Pacific Pinball Museum. A blind man. A woman who stutters. A wheelchair user. A Little Person. While this may sound like a description of a support group, it is, in fact, the lineup for the 'Comedians with Disabilities Act,' a comedy tour that the San Francisco Examiner called 'The most unconventional comics to pop up in 2011.'
