Review: TREASURE ISLAND THE PANTOMIME At Circa Theatre
What did our critic think of TREASURE ISLAND THE PANTOMIME at Circa Theatre. Suffice to say, that this show is an absolute treat. Lots to love and exactly what you need when you are heading towards the festive season and you need something to take your mind off the troubles of the day. Highly recommended by this reviewer and all the friends that came with me. We will be booking again next year.

BWW Review: ELF at Broadway Palm is Fun and Festive!
Broadway Palm's musical production of ELF brings to life an iconic Christmas story that many people know and love in a very fun and charismatic way. This show has all the aspects from the story of ELF that you could ever want in a musical version, and so much more.

BWW Review: ELF - THE MUSICAL Jingles into OC's Segerstrom Center
Upon learning that part of Segerstrom Center for the Arts' holiday programming this season was to finally bring a national tour production of ELF - THE MUSICAL---the 2010 Broadway stage musical adaptation of the popular Will Ferrell holiday movie---to its stage, I was pretty ecstatic. For the most part, ELF---which performs at SCFTA through January 1, 2017---delivers enjoyable laughs sprinkled here and there throughout its two acts, and even offers up a non-equity cast equipped with lovely singing voices. But while ELF - THE MUSICAL is certainly festive and has lots of smile-inducing moments, overall, I felt the presented production felt surprisingly subdued. While, sure, it had plenty of genuinely funny and heart-warming moments, many aspects of the NETworks Presentations production needed to be much more over-the-top, manic, and downright silly.
GREAT MUSIC AT ST. BART'S 2016-17 Season Premieres
Great Music at St. Bart's, the concert series produced by the Mid-Manhattan Performing Arts Foundation (MMPAF), for the past six years has presented music in St. Bartholomew's Church, a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of New York located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The magnificent 1918 Romanesque-style church features a portal designed by Stanford White and a grand Byzantine-style interior - and two of New York's unlikely but outstanding concert spaces: the 150-seat chapel, an intimate and acoustically brilliant space that is perfectly suited for contemporary chamber music, and the majestic 1,000-seat sanctuary - outfitted with comfortable chairs enabling flexible seating - whose Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ is the largest in New York City and one of the finest examples of the American Classic Organ in the U.S.
Amor Artis to Give 30th Annual New Year's Eve Bach Concert at Church of St. Jean Baptiste
Each year, classically minded New Yorkers in the know enjoy the elegance of an all-Bach New Year's Eve Gala. This 30-year tradition of the Amor Artis Chorus & Orchestra continues with Music Director Stephen Somary conducting the festive Cantatas 41 and 190, Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 and Concerto for Oboe and Violin at the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste (Lexington Avenue & 76th Street), Tuesday, December 31, 8PM. Admission is $50. The concert is over at 9:45, so there's still time to paint the town red!
