Disney Television Studios to Bring EMERGENCE, NEXT, and THE ORVILLE to New York Comic Con
Disney Television Studios, comprised of Twentieth Century Fox Television, ABC Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios, returns to New York Comic Con with stars and creators from three of the studio's thrilling series at the increasingly popular East Coast 'Con next month. Panels at the Javits Center will feature screenings from each show followed by interactive panel discussions.

Fox has released the trailer for neXt, starring John Slattery. From creator and executive producer Manny Coto (“24: Legacy”) and executive producers and directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (“This Is Us”), neXt is a propulsive, fact-based thriller about the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines pulse-pounding action with a layered examination of how technology is invading our lives and transforming us in ways we don't yet understand.
Disney Television Studios Announces 14 Panels for Comic-Con
Disney Television Studios including Twentieth Century Fox Television, ABC Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios takes over the San Diego Comic-Con convention with stars and creators of 14 of its fan-favorite shows descending on the world-famous gathering next month. In addition to exclusive sneak peeks of its programs and panel discussions with the casts and creators, the studio will rotate producers and stars through the ABC and 20th Century Fox Television booths on the convention center floor for autograph signings and activities, including distribution of exclusive 2019 poster tubes, collectible mini-posters, premium giveaways and DVD sales.
Utah Film Center Announces 2019 'Damn These Heels' Film Lineup
Utah Film Center announced today the feature films selected for the 16th annual Damn These Heels Film Festival and new elements to the Festival for film lovers, filmmakers, and all storytellers. Damn These Heels will run July 12 - 14, 2019 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center and is a festival for all that explores LGBTQ issues, ideas, and art through independent, documentary, and foreign films from around the world. Passes and tickets are now on sale on the Utah Film Center's website. Additional titles will be announced on the website leading up to the Festival.
FOX Picks Up Four Dramas for 2019-2020 Season
Fox has ordered four drama pilots to series for the 2019-2020 season. The lineup includes cop/serial killer drama Prodigal Son, starring Tom Payne and Michael Sheen; John Slattery's AI drama neXt; police drama Deputy, starring Stephen Dorff; and the Annie Weisman/Jason Katims sister drama, based on an Australian format.
Santa Rita Film Co. To Release THE IRON ORCHARD
With a focus on Texas before expanding to national markets, Santa Rita Film Co. has announced that Ty Roberts' “THE IRON ORCHARD”, starring Lane Garrison, Ali Cobrin, and Austin Nichols, will open in theaters starting on February 22, 2019 in exclusive engagements in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and in the Midland-Odessa areas. The drama, about ambitious oil magnate Jim McNeely that is based on Tom Pendleton's rousing 1966 novel of the same name, will then open in New York, Los Angeles, and additional markets across the state of Texas on March 1st as part of a theatrical platform release throughout March and April.
Sundance Film Festival Announces 2019 Film Lineup
The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.
