Sheen Center to Host Festival for Catholic Playwrights This July
The Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Center for Thought & Culture announced today the Sheen Center Theater Festival: Readings of New Short Plays by Catholic Playwrights, an event designed to showcase the voices and skills of a new generation of writers. The festival will take place in the Black Box at The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY, on July 8 and 9, 2017.

Colleen Zenk & Leslie Lopez Join Cast of Tonight's NYMADNESS
Taking the gender parity problem head-on New York Madness is bringing to the stage a Special All-Women writers and directors edition of their short play festival, a mainstay of NYC's Indie Theater Community. NYMadness has produced at HERE Theater, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ensemble Studios Theatre, INTAR Theater, ESPA Primary Stages and many more across the city. Since inception six years ago NYMadness has been a leader on gender parity maintaining a 50/50 even split men/women on their roster. With a focus on emerging artists, NYM hosts a hot night of short plays all based on a Theme announced one week prior to the event. The Theme for this special edition is appropriately dubbed, SMASHING THE PATRIARCHY Madness.
Team Awesome Robot to Present RUSH
Team Awesome Robot, a new theater collaborative, is pleased to announce the production of Callie Kimball's new playRush directed by Team Awesome Robot's Artistic Director Christopher Diercksen. Rush will be playing a three-week engagement at The Paradise Factory (64 E 4th Street, NY, NY 10003). Performances begin Friday, October 9th and continue through Sunday, October 25th, 2015. On Monday, September 21, 2015 The Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 recipients at its annual event. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Between Us Productions to Stage THE FAIRER SEX at Theatre Row This July
Between Us Productions will present the World Premiere of Sander Gusinow's The Fairer Sex, directed by Samantha Lee Manas.
